Over the past few years, EPF has decided to invest in different research and development projects for industrial automation and renewable energy in partnership with leading universities and international research centres.
5% of the staff work every day in collaboration with the main Italian and foreign universities and research centers on the solutions of the future:
- Innovative robotics
- Artificial Intelligence
- Neural networks
- Vision Systems
- Numerical modelling.
Some of EPF’s most recent industrial automation projects include factory installation prototypes for the food packaging industry. These are equipped with 6 axis and/or collaborative robots, cutting-edge A.I. and machine learning applications for vision systems. The aim is developing the new technologies required to satisfy the needs of an ever-evolving industry.
EPF also invests part of its profits into the energy sector and is currently working on a self-funded project to develop a power generation technology able to convert sea waves into electricity.
