Shibaura Machine expands its ECSXIII full-electric range with a new model featuring an eye-catching design

Shibaura Machine Co. America unveiled its first full-electric machine, designed specifically for the medical sector, at the Plastec West exhibition in Anaheim, CA.

The production of medical articles requires high standards in terms of material purity, precision, and process repeatability with very short cycle times. For years, companies have turned to Shibaura Machine for the efficiency of their ECSXIII machines in molding a variety of products. The new IMM offers the same speed and functionality as other ECSXIII models, with enhancements ideal for medical molding and cleanroom environments.

Particle control and cleanliness were key elements in the machine’s design. Additionally, it is characterized by:

  • Raised platform, allowing easy cleaning beneath the machine;
  • Stainless steel protection for cleanroom molding and plated platens.
  • The built-in standard V70 controller can be equipped with fully integrated hot-runner and temperature controller options.

Currently, the new machine is available in the 110t version for the American market, but the company promises to soon expand the range both in terms of tonnage and market.
