EPF PLASTIC & TOSHIBA MACHINE Shape the Future

The event hosted by EPF PLASTIC and TOSHIBA MACHINE on July 11th for the grand opening of their new Italian office in Casei Gerola (Pavia) was very successful.

In the morning, the EPF team and the Japanese delegation of TOSHIBA MACHINE led by Mr. Takamura, General Manager of Toshiba Machine Europe and USA, introduced the latest plastic injection moulding technologies to a crowd of more than 100 people. On this occasion, Toshiba also reiterated the desire to increase its presence on the Italian and European market in partnership with EPF Plastic. The Italian market currently represents 35% of the whole European market, more than 100 moulding machines with clamping force from 180T to 1800T have been installed so far.

In the afternoon, guests and clients were given an opportunity to explore the numerous solutions on display: for example, machine EC130SXII was printing medical applications, machine EC230SXII was producing trays with IML packaging, and machine EC350SXII was printing automotive parts with the support of an innovative quality control 3D vision system developed by EPF. EPF also presented a few of its own automotive and robotics solutions for the automotive industry, receiving an extremely positive feedback from the audience.

Thanks to the contribution and support of many of EPF’s partners, the projects put on display were equipped with high quality components and innovative solutions such as monitoring and supervision systems, injection moulding hot runner systems for printing plastics, transport and logistics systems incorporating cartesian/anthropomorphic robots and transport pods. Technical discussion sessions between current partners and potential clients were also an important part of the event.
